TELL me why are you so interested in this school system? Is it that you cannot hinder certain students' education as your big plan does when they are in brick and mortar schools? I support Georgia Cyber Academy and K12. They are doing much better than the county schools here in Georgia. I will say stay out of it! My child now uses the entire atlas and is completing Algebraic problems from my student's College Algebra text. My child is writing full essays with guidance and not just work sheets, studying Greek and Roman Mythology and so much more . . .but wait . . .that's the problem isn't it . . . my child is learning more than she has EVER learned before from regular brick and mortar schools here in Georgia. (--without paying private school money) Is that the problem? Because I paid school tax -- a Very HIGH School tax -- here in Georgia and my child did not even have a text book...where is the concern there? Fight a real battle not a political one that will stop a specific group of youths from getting a solid, well rounded valuable education. The sad fact is that I have seen parents enroll their child in a TPS after a period of virtual education, only to see pitiful academic progress and learning deficiencies unresolved. The education reform movement will meet its demise only when parents become aware of the driving motives and values of those who claim to be the saviors of failed social and economic policies. Sadly, many lower income parents and stakeholders believe that Bush, and NCLB proponents are truly looking out for their interests.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
